This foundational-level program, which covers all stages of fashion design, enables you to enhance your visual skills by integrating them with technology. Through various research methods taught throughout the program, participants will follow developments in the fashion industry and gain insight into the relationship between collections and the industry.

PROGRAM CONTENT

Fashion Fundamentals

Participants gain a foundation in fashion, textiles, and trend-related concepts, as well as an understanding of the design cycle and processes.

Drawing Techniques

In this module, participants learn the principles of drawing and complete foundational drawing exercises for fashion design.

Design Development and Application

Participants learn to create themes and design ideas using sources of inspiration. They conduct research, collect and archive information and materials to support the design process, and gain competence in presenting and applying their ideas.

Collection Planning and Development

Manual Pattern-Making Techniques

Participants learn basic skirt and shirt patterns using manual pattern-making techniques based on base patterns.

Sewing Techniques

Photoshop & Illustrator

Participants learn to design digitally and present their work effectively using Photoshop and Illustrator. By understanding the differences between pixel-based Photoshop and vector-based Illustrator, they gain proficiency in both programs and create professional illustration sheets containing detailed, artistic, and technical drawings.

Final Project

The final project represents the core of the program’s applied education. Through this project, participants work with a real design brief and learn how to manage the design process professionally.

Participants create moodboards, sketchbooks, and line-ups, conduct fabric research, produce a prototype garment using muslin fabric, and experience the process of resolving pattern-related issues.

Final Collection & Portfolio

Participants independently develop and realize designs based on their chosen sources of inspiration, transforming them into a final portfolio. At the end of the program, projects and final collections produced during the training period are evaluated by instructors.
