MASTER CLASS: FASHION DESIGN

Advanced level Fashion Design Diploma Program, which teaches those who have completed their fashion design education the qualifications needed by the industry and prepares them to take a step into the world of fashion, you can create your own brand.

During the program, you will improve your personal creativity, prepare your first collection in line with market and fashion trends, and acquire a robust foundation in entrepreneurship.

Application

Applicants will attend an interview for admission. Applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in fashion and textile design applicants needs to have completed a minimum of 2 collections. English language skills are needed for applicants to communicate with foreign tutors and consultants. Participants are selected by interview and must attend this interview with their portfolio.

  • Registration documents must be provided in full.vel English is required. Master Class: Those who meet the application criteria for Fashion Design Program are selected for the program through portfolio and interview evaluations.

PROGRAM CONTENT

1. Collection Design and Production

Collection design begins with the design process and the research of fabrics and materials designed to be used simultaneously in practice. Process consists of design, production and production management stages. Application constitutes an important area as much as design.

In the collection design and planning process, the project leader working with the leading brands of the international fashion industry, together with the Turkish designer instructor, takes part. The trainer and consultant guides the participants' collections in the global fashion understanding, in contemporary and professional design and implementation.

An intensive program content is offered for them to create their own brands and to ensure that both their collections and brands are sustainable. The collections are aimed to be created in line with trends and industry expectations. With the start of the creative process, complementary works such as mould, fabric and fabric manipulations, embroideries, needlework come into play. With the emergence of creative patterns, the application process of collection models begins.


2. Design Management and Communication

Fashion Design Management and Communication course is aimed that designers reach the level of professional standards by taking their collections from the experiential structure of the managerial process.

In order to create a bridge of perception and awareness between creativity, production and sales in brand concept and management, research and examinations are carried out on brand strategies and financial infrastructure to find a place in the market. Pilot applications are carried out by supporting examples from international and national brands.


3. New Gen Fashion Show / Istanbul Fashion Week Special Jury Presentation

The collection will be prepared one year after the spring - summer period and will be presented to the jury members consisting of experts selected from different fields of the industry for the New Gen Fashion Show, which is included in the Istanbul Fashion Week (IFW) calendar.
